Ademar Aguiar nominated as Vice-President of the Hillside Group

Ademar Aguiar, a researcher at the Information and Computer Graphics Systems Unit (USIG) of INESC Porto was nominated to be vice-president of the Hillside Group. The nomination took place on 22nd March.

The Hillside group was established in 1993 and is a non-profit educational organisation that promotes the use of patterns and language patterns to collect, analyse and improve existing software and develop new software. Joseph Yoder is the new president of the Hillside Group following the re-election of the board of directors.Ademar

Aguiar is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and a researcher at INESC Porto with over 20 years of experience in developing software. He specialises in software architecture and design (patterns, frameworks, infrastructures), agile methods, wikis and open collaboration tools. In addition to software engineering, the researcher is also exploring the application of social software and Web 2.0 as well as other domains including education and music, such as the important project escolinhas.pt

Ademar Aguiar has been a member of the Hillside Group since 2007 and has been part of the board of directors since 2008.
