The rapid improvement of technology, coupled with changes in lifestyle and with the growth of cities, has made the public transport system much more complex, so to distribute integrated information in an efficient and clear way is of the utmost importance. The dissertation, defended in 2016, sought to understand the relationship between trip information, intentions to use public transport, and unusual trips, considering that the intentions of using transports are related to the perception about their utility and ease of use.
The dissertation, entitled “The Role of Information in Transit use by Undergraduate and Graduate Students in Brazil and Denmark”, was supervised by Leonardo Herszon Meira of the Federal University of Pernambuco and co-supervised by Otto Anker Nielsen of the Technical University of Denmark.
