FotoInMotion intends to develop technology in order to allow the effective transformation of a single photograph into an immersive video. The project includes three areas of application – photojournalism, fashion and festivals – and is the result of a consortium built by IntraSoft (Luxemburg), ATC (Greece), QDepQ (the Netherlands), Worldcrunch (France), Noor Foundation (the Netherlands), Marni Group SRL (Italy), Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (Estonia) and INESC TEC.
Being a Coordination and Support Action of the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme, Vertigo is a project that aims to support and to coordinate the synergies between artists, cultural institutions, R&D projects in information and communication technologies, companies, incubators and financing funds.
Within Vertigo, the STARTS Residencies programme supports and funds artistic residencies that bring original contributions to technology-based projects. During each residency, the Tech Project collaborates with an artist in order to create an original artwork and to develop innovative aspects in the technological research.
The selected candidates will have the opportunity to develop the work at the Worldcrunch, a digital magazine that offers English-based contents from the world’s most important sources.
