INESC Porto participates in the 3rd EIFFEL Think-Tank

Paulo Mendes, researcher of the Internet Architectures and Networking (IAN) area of INESC Porto’s Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) participated in the 3rd EIFFEL meeting, which took place on 6 and 7 October, in Athens, Greece.

The EIFFEL meeting is a Support Action that focuses on the "Future Internet" component. The aim with this initiative is to mobilise worldwide renowned researchers to discuss and confront ideas, and take positions related to Future Internet and its (r)evolution in the context of the  development of an information society of the future.

In this meeting, IAN has organised and moderated the session "BYON: Build Your Own Network", which focused on the discussion of the topic “User-provided Networks (UPN)”, an area that IAN has been working on at INESC Porto.
