VISNET-II includes several research areas related to audiovisual network applications and the researchers from UTM are involved in the domains of audiovisual analysis, audiovisual applications sensitive to the context of use and QoS in heterogeneous networks.

During the meeting, it was possible to discuss several aspects related to the integration of the work developed by the different partners. In that context, UTM has been establishing a close collaboration with the University of Surrey (UniS) in the domain of QoS in heterogeneous networks. At the same time, together with the University of Surrey and the Polytechnic University of Catalunya (UPC), Spain, UTM has been working on the adaptation of contents that are sensitive to the context of use.

Several short visits from researchers from INESC Porto and UniS have already took place and next month researcher Vítor Barbosa will also visit UPC.
