The aim with this visit is to continue the scientific research work in visualisation of spatio-temporal information, which started during the researcher’s PhD work. The intention is also to promote future collaborations between FEUP/INESC Porto and the University of Potsdam/HPI.

HPI is an institute associated to the University of Potsdam (Germany) and Palo Alto (United States), specialised in information technologies and established by Hasso Platner, founder of SAP. This institute, where 200 million Euros have already been invested, is a European reference in the area of information technologies and graphic computing and interfaces, and its aim is to meet the needs of young people who seek practical training in Information Technology Engineering and not just a traditional computer science programme. For that, the institute invests in academic research characterised by excellence.
