INESC Porto submits another proposal to QREN
The "Internet Architectures and Networking" (IAN) area from the Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) has submitted another application to QREN this month.
30th May 2008
This is a co-promoted IS R&TD project in the area of "Future Internet", a usual topic in international research. The two most internationally relevant examples are the programmes "Future Internet Design" (FIND) in the USA and "Future Internet Research and Experimentation" (FIRE) in Europe.
The project submitted by IAN includes a consortium set up by four partner SMEs, four partners from the Scientific and Technological Centre and INESC Porto.
The project’s leader is J.P. Sá Couto.
This is the second co-promoted IS R&TD application that IAN has submitted to QREN this year. The first one was submitted in February 2008 together with the company Nonius Software Lda (lead promoter) and it was directly related to the theme of mobility and heterogeneous wireless networks.
