INESC Porto supports economic viability study

INESC Porto will support an economic viability study for a project where the intention is to develop windows with thin film technology. This decision was taken after a meeting on 5 November between the people in charge of the companies Solaronix (Switzerland) and A2Z (France), and members of INESC Porto’s Innovation and Technology Transfer Unit (UITT) and Optoelectronics and Electronic Systems Unit (UOSE).

Solaronix specialises in thin film technology, while A2Z focuses its activity on new concepts of windows. The aim with this project is to try to understand the technical and commercial viability of creating a new window prototype with this type of technology.

UITT will coordinate the study, while UOSE will be in charge of evaluating the technology. The study was approved by the Finicia Platform in Porto.
