INESC TEC organises a workshop in Japan

Ricardo Campos, researcher at INESC TEC’s Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support Laboratory (LIAAD) was one of the promoters of the first workshop entitled «User Interfaces for Spatial and Temporal Data Analysis - UISTDA2018» that took place in Japan on 11 march.

Sérgio Nunes of INESC TEC’s Centre for Information and Computer Graphics Systems (CSIG), Alípio Jorge (LIAAD), Vítor Mangaravite (LIAAD) and Arian Pasquali (LIAAD) also helped to organise the event.

This workshop aimed to share the latest achievements, existing challenges and potential applications to explore large quantities of data in the spacial and temporal field. The event was also attended by 30 researchers, which were able to participate in the presentation of five scientific articles as well as participate in a lecture on smart cities and internet of things.
