The training was led by Henrique Salgado of UTM, with the support of Luís Pessoa of the same unit, and it focused on the characterisation of RF and microwave devices based on S-parameters, and on the architecture of specific equipment (vectorial network analyser) to perform these measurements. The course was concluded with a session in laboratory environment where the goal was to perform experimental measurements using a device manufactured by the company and to compare the results with electromagnetic simulation.
The INESC TEC researchers mentioned in this article are associated with the following partner institutions: INESC Porto and FEUP.
