INESC TEC starts project with MOG Technologies

INESC TEC’s Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) has recently initiated a collaboration with the company MOG Technologies for the provision of services as part of an NSRF (National Strategic Reference Framework) project, recently approved by the IAPMEI (the Institute to Support Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation).

With a four-month duration, this collaboration, entitled "Workflow for producing 3D content", will make it possible to develop software which can be used to manipulate 3D content in audiovisual production environments.

Specifically, the UTM team, consisting of João Pedro Alexandre Coelho (grant holder) and Maria Teresa Andrade (supervisor), will conduct a study on the most suitable architectures and methodologies to build a 3D capturing system for professional environments of audiovisual content production using conventional computational servers.

It is important to remember that MOG Technologies is a spin-off company from INESC Porto (the coordinating entity of INESC TEC). In 2010 the IAPMEI distinguished this company with an award for Best Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) in Portugal for its successful economic and financial performance and management.
