INESC TEC welcomes meeting from the EnergyIN community

On 19 March 2014, INESC TEC will host a meeting of the EnergyIN, an association of which INESC TEC is member. The EnergyIN promotes the cooperation between business and scientific communities for the competitiveness of the national energy industry.

The aim with the meeting is to mobilise the associates of the EnergyIN to increasingly participate in defining the goals and priorities of this Competitiveness Cluster, as well as progressively bring the business and scientific community closer.

During the visit, the participants will discuss some of the most interesting themes for companies in this sector, such as energy storage and the use of stored energy, communication solutions, and treatment of large volumes of dada to control and manage power grids.

Among other results, it is expected that the meeting will lead to decisions on the establishment of partnerships, involving companies and entities from the Portuguese Science and Technology System (SCTN), to submit applications to the Horizon 2020 Programme, or to encourage other initiatives that promote innovation.

The meeting will take place at the auditorium of the FEUP/INESC Porto Building.
