20th March 2008

COMPSTAT is an initiative from the European Regional Section of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC), which is a branch of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). This conference has already taken place in locations, such as Berlin (2002), Prague (2004) and Rome (2006). This year’s edition will be the 18th COMPSTAT conference.

This is one of the most important conferences on a worldwide level in the area of Computational Statistics, gathering hundreds of participants from the academic world, as well as from the different activities where Computational Statistics is applied. Throughout this conference, it is possible to promote work in this area, thus encouraging interdisciplinary activities, experience exchange and cooperation.
