LIAAD researcher is invited speaker in Summer School in Poland

João Gama, researcher at INESC TEC’s Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD), is one of the invited speakers of the Big Data meets Machine Learning 2015 (BDmeetsML’2015) Summer School, which takes que se between 21 and 24 May in Wroclaw, Poland.

The goal with this school is to train researchers and students in the areas of machine learning, big data, data science and network analysis, as well as computer scientists interested in statistics and machine learning. The event will take place at Wroclaw University of Technology, one of the most prestigious Science and Engineering  Schools in Poland.

João Gama specialises in machine learning, learning from data flows, sets of classifiers, constructive induction and probabilistic reasoning. Other than working as a researcher at INESC TEC, João Gama also teaches at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP).
