Members from CRACS participate in IBERGRID’2008
Members from CRACS – INESC Porto LA (Center for Research in Advances Computing Systems) participated in IBERGRID´2008 (Iberian Grid Infrastructure Conference), organised by the University of Porto, between 12 and 14 May.

This was the second scientific meeting for the experience exchange between Portuguese and Spanish researchers involved in the development of the GRID computing system.
The main goal with IBERGRID´2008 was to share the advances on the development and implementation of the infrastructures, technologies and applications of grid computing that are used by the main Institutions in the Iberian Peninsula and by other countries in Latin America.
Several speakers participated in the event that was an opportunity to share visions on the technology and its benefits to the service in several areas, such as health, crisis prevention, civil protection, among others.
