Paper by INESC TEC researchers receives honourable mention

José Creissac Campos and Michael Harrison, both researchers at INESC TEC High-Assurance Software Laboratory (HASLab), have received an honourable mention with their paper “Modelling information resources and their salience in medical device design”, as part of the Engineering Interactive Computing Systems (EICS) conference, which took place between 21 and 24 June in Brussels.

01st July 2016

The paper, co-authored by Rimvydas Rukšenas and Paul Curzon, researchers at Queen Mary University of London, was considered one of the best three papers submitted to the conference. The goal with this work is to support the process of evaluating and certifying medical devices in order to make them safer, and thus reduce the possibility of errors in their use.

It is important to stress that José Creissac Campos will be co-chair of EICS 2017, which will take place in Lisbon. Besides being a researcher at HASLab, José Creissac Campos also teaches at University of Minho.

The INESC TEC researchers mentioned in this news piece are associated with INESC TEC and UMinho.
