Researcher from INESC TEC wins Award of Innovation in Knowledge
Aurora Teixeira, researcher at INESC TEC’s Centre of Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), won two of the four awards in Innovation assigned by the Office for Strategy and Studies (GEE) and for Portuguese National Innovation Agency (ANI).

The award-winning papers titled “Persistence in innovation and innovative behavior in unstable environments”, co-written by Joana Costa and Anabela Botelho, and “The efficiency of Portuguese Technology Transfer Offices and the importance of university characteristics” co-written by André Monteiro.
The main purpose of this work is to promote the conducting of studies capable of identifying problems and implementing economy policy solutions in Portugal.
The conference of winning articles of the award «Innovation Based on Knowledge» was held at the University of Aveiro on 27 February.
Aurora Teixeira is a Professor at the Faculty of Economics of University of Porto (FEP) whose professional activities are Managing Innovation, Structural Change and Innovation, Innovation and Technology, and Macroeconomics. She is also a researcher in multiple national and international research institutions.
Aurora Teixeira held a PhD in Science and Technology Policy Technology and Innovation Management from the SPRU - Science and Technology Policy Research, University of Sussex and attended the Master and Bachelor degree at FEP, where she also completed the aggregation exams in 2008.
