UOSE organizes weekly lectures

Following previous experiences, the Optoelectronics and Eectronic Systems Unit (UOSE) recently started a cycle of weekly lectures every Wednesday at 2 p.m. in room 117 of the Physics Department.
In the next weeks, the subjects and lecturers will be the following: February 28, Carlos Brites with the subject "Design and Fabrication of IO Beam Combiners for Astronomical Interferometry", March 7, Sérgio Mendonça with the theme "High voltage pulse generators - principles and technology"; March 14, Joel Carvalho with the subject "Evaluation of coupling losses in hollow-core photonic crystal fibres", and March 21, Pedro Jorge with the lecture "Optical fiber biochemical sensing".
These lectures are open to the scientific community of the Department and INESC Porto. The form of the lectures is a brief presentation of 15 minutes followed by an open discussion.
