UTM organises internal workshop

On 25 September, INESC TEC’s Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) organised an internal workshop. The goal with this initiative was to implement a common vision for UTM and to understand how it is possible to improve the relationship between universities and industry.

Finding innovative solutions and new approaches for the Unit to be able to fulfil its objectives was the main pillar of this internal initiative. As part of the workshop, the researchers were divided into seven groups to discuss the following themes: “UTM vision and how to implement it”, “UTM strategic areas – network architectures and technologies, services and applications”, “Networking”, “International/national recognition” and “Knowledge management”. At the end there was a plenary session to present the main conclusions of the different groups.

José Nina de Andrade, José Ruela and Paula Viana were the UTM members responsible for organising this workshop.
