UTM publishes paper on the international journal Sensors
Paulo Portugal, a researcher at INESC TEC’s Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM), is the co-author of the paper “Availability Issues in Wireless Visual Sensor Networks”, published in February in the international journal Sensors (volume 14).
26th February 2014
The paper “discusses the main questions associated with the concept of availability when applied to Wireless Visual Sensor Networks. The approach broadens the traditional concept, associated with the different types of failures that may occur in the nodes, and includes the concept of visual redundancy”, Paulo Portugal summarises. The researcher adds that, other than these aspects, “the paper also presents the most recent approaches to assess availability, and discusses the different solutions associated with the respective maximisation”.
Sensors is the main international, peer-reviewed and public access journal for science and technology related to sensors and biosensors. It is published monthly online by the publisher MDPI.
