InstitutionalThe initiative seeks solutions at different stages of maturity: innovative ideas, prototypes, services, products, or community initiatives that aim to address the challenges associated with extreme wildfires - thus contributing to improve the safety of communities and the resilience of forests. The FIRE-RES project, featuring INESC TEC as partner, launched an Open Innovation Challenge and will grant the winners the possibility to develop their ideas and test their solutions in a network of 11 Living Labs, spread over nine countries.

Funded within the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan, this agenda aims to develop, industrialise, and commercialise nutritional solutions for people, animals, and plants, while fostering opportunities for the cosmetics and bioplastics industries, as well as for the biomedicines sector. It focuses on the creation of organic waste recovery solutions, contributing to the sustainability of value chains.

InstitutionalClose to 40 entrepreneurs and managers, representatives of technology demonstrators and researchers from the scientific and technological ecosystem participated in the innovation workshops promoted within the scope of the SAP 4.0 project; the initiative took place at INESC TEC’s iiLab – Industry and Innovation Laboratory. The project is promoted by the Business Association of Oliveira de Azeméis (AECOA) and co-promoted by the Business Association of Santa Maria da Feira (AEF), with INESC TEC participating as technological partner.
