Industry 4.0: INESC TEC and INEGI helped companies address digital transformation

INESC TEC tested a disinfection robot at a hospital in Valongo

INESC TEC’s Centre for Robotics in Industry and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS) developed a robotic system for disinfecting surfaces contaminated with COVID-19. Autonomous Robot for Disinfection at Hospitals (RADAR) was tested this Wednesday, July 29, at the S. Martinho Hospital, in Valongo.

INESC TEC awarded with several accolades by the Portuguese Robotics Society

The ICARSC'2020 conference - 20th IEEE International Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions - awarded several works developed in the field of robotics in 2019. The researchers from INESC TEC's Centre for Robotics in Industry and Intelligent Systems (CRIIS) received three awards: “SPR Award for Innovation and Technology Transfer in Robotics”, honourable mention in the “SPR Award for the Best National Master’s Thesis in Robotics” and the first prize of the “Industrial Robot journal Best Paper Award”.

The second call of the DIVA project will finance 68 SMEs

The second edition of the SMEs support programme of the DIVA project, coordinated by INESC TEC’s Centre for Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship (CITE), selected 68 innovative tech-based projects in the agro-food, environment and forestry sectors – among 255 proposals from six countries (Portugal, Spain, France, Greece, Italy and Ireland).
