About
I am currently the Head of the Research Students Office at INESC TEC, with over 25 years of experience in strategic planning, decision-making in complex environments, business development, strategic human resource management, and financial control.
I began my career in the industry, where I spent 10 years before transitioning to academia. I managed a research department at the University of Cambridge for four years and have remained closely connected to academia ever since. Among other roles, I served as the Executive Director of the Carnegie Mellon Portugal Program, leading its strategic implementation and day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with the objectives of the Portuguese government, participating universities, and partner organizations.
At INESC TEC, I developed and implemented a new human resources management model, transforming the way the institution thinks and approaches HR strategy, policies, and practices.
I hold a degree in Business Administration from Faculdade de Economia do Porto, a postgraduate qualification in Auditing and Management Control (2004), and an executive course for HR Directors (2020), both from Universidade Católica in Porto and Lisbon, respectively.
