Porto hosts one of the world's largest conferences on computer systems

EuroSys has become a premier forum for discussing various issues of systems software research and development, including implications related to hardware and applications.  This year, the international conference is organised by a Portuguese team, more specifically by the Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science (INESC TEC) and the University of Minho. It will take place at Palácio do Freixo (Porto, Portugal).

“Besides OSDI and SOSP, EuroSys is one of the best conferences on computer systems. The scientific results of the conference program are always innovative and with great importance and impact. The fact that the conference was held in Portugal shows to a large extent the significant presence of Portuguese researchers in the community” mentioned Rui Oliveira, INESC TEC’s Member of the Board, Professor at the University of Minho and president of the of the organising committee of EuroSys 2018.

This year's edition of EuroSys will be financially supported by companies such as VMWare, Microsoft, RedHat, Facebook, Oracle, NATIXIS, IBM Research, Google, OutSystems and Maxdata. The record of papers submitted at EuroSys 2018 was beaten: with a total of 262 papers of which 43 were accepted and will be presented.

On 23 April, which is the first day of the conference, will be devoted to six workshops organised by EuroSys. The accepted papers will be presented from 23 to 26 April.

EuroSys is a conference sponsored by ACM SIGOPS Chapter in Europe.
