Multi-layer Connected Factories with hybrid conventional and digital components
Partners are relying on their knowledge gained from ConFacts 1st phase, where they apply a holistic approach to integrate digital and conventional manufacturing components with shop-floor level integration enabling geographically distributed connectivity. To reach a new level of teaching and learning solutions, partners realized that cooperation should be extended towards vertical integration. Since the partners’ Teaching and Learning Factories have various operating systems with different data layout, output, a new approach of integration is needed aiming at the simulation of the real-life manufacturing value chain. In ConFacts-2 value-chain extension will be reached via the integration of interdependent production data of different production levels. Each of the different levels will be represented by one of the partners with TLF facility. Uniquely, 4 RIS countries are involved. The result will be exploited by partners’ industrial cooperation, through business impact.
