Description

Adult education on digital, health and data literacy for citizen empowerment

TRIO is an Erasmus+ project (March 2022 - May 2025) that aims to empower citizens of different ages through informal education in the areas of health, digital and data literacy. The TRIO project aims to develop a combined training program to improve health, digital and data literacy for citizens of three different age groups (18-35; 36-50; 51+), promoting adult education through the development of digital readiness, resilience and capacity building. Over two years, TRIO will develop a modular approach with a manual, a curriculum and a complete toolkit for adult educators, designing them in co-production with relevant target groups and stakeholders. The proposed educational approach will be supported by a digital learning platform that ensures adaptation to the changing needs of users, technology and context. TRIO will also develop a Green Paper to present to policymakers and relevant European initiatives. INESC TEC (Portugal) is the project coordinator and the consortium includes 5 other partners from 5 countries: SHINE 2Europe (Portugal), AFEdemy (Netherlands), ISIS Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur (Germany), CETEM (Spain) and BOKtech (Romania). TRIO also includes several additional organizations as associated partners, ensuring that it will reach different citizens and groups in the countries involved and beyond.
