Whole Chain: Quantitative Framework for Perishable Food Supply Chain Management

The exploratory research project WholeChain aimed to comprehensively address the quantitative gap in the supply chain design and planning of food industries integrating the strategic and tactical decisions levels by developing a framework where all key complexities of Food Supply Chain Management (FSCM) are accounted for. The aim of this framework is twofold:(1) Lay the basis for a decision support system to help companies making better FSCM decisions.(2) Contribute to the FSCM literature by answering to open questions that need a holistic approach of the decisions involved in this business
