TRENDS AND APPLICATIONS IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

Abstract
Focus group interactions led to a set of strategic recommendations with regards to how to improve e-Commerce adoption levels in Iberian enterprises, essential in times of crises. Suggestions include: (1) Create actions to influence the governments of the Iberian Peninsula to re-evaluate the legislation that regulates e-Commerce; (2) Encourage venture capitalists, banks and business angels to create financing lines with better access; (3) Encourage European institutions of higher education to create partnerships with Iberian enterprises in a way that the technical know-how in these enterprises could be mixed with the scientific knowledge of those institutions; (4) Create, alongside with training organizations and universities, a set of new training courses directed at Iberian enterprises focusing on concepts such as Web 2.0 capabilities and the maintaining of a coherent online organizational identity. Increases in e-Commerce transactions may bring changes in mentality and greater prosperity to nations such as Portugal and Spain.

Abstract
In the last decade, companies have become tend virtualized thanks to the use of outsourcing, the workforce has become more distributed, workplaces are increasingly distributed and outsourced and increasingly digital employees, with the philosophy of work anytime and anywhere. This development has, and has had a very big impact on mobile platforms and infrastructure, on the one hand, the adoption of the BYOD concept and the use of mobile devices and on the other hand, through the use of cloud computing will have profound implications in the way the technologies are and will be used as well as on the interaction between individuals and these technologies. By applying for a questionnaire and subsequent analysis showed that organizations have a lack of understanding, almost complete, the implications and consequences of using mobile devices and the cloud in organizations. A result of the Focus Group performed we propose the 4CM model.

Abstract
Resorting to creativity technique and their use to help innovation in the area of information systems had a growing interest. In fact, the global competitiveness and the organizations ability to make effective use of information technology and to focus on innovation and creativity are recognized as being important. So, the perspective of using creativity techniques seems to be promising. In this research work we argue that is possible in all IS areas to take advantages of the use of creative processes. Abstract
The agri-food industry has been growing at a considerable pace over the recent years. An example of this growth is the mushroom production sector, whose specificities associated with the production process enforce a very controlled management of all the resources applied to that activity. Considering that the existing literature does not present a transverse solution to the referred activity sector, we have endured in an effort to present a technological proposal for an information system directed to the mushroom production sector. The presented proposal, composed by 13 interconnected functional blocks, is the result of a detailed analysis to the technical and functional requirements of Sousacamp Group - a leading organization from the mushroom production sector - merged with the arguments and perspectives presented by technology adoption theories.

Abstract
This paper presents the evolution of the process for management of surgery waiting lists in the Portuguese public hospital network. We use the perspective of the software development and deployment by UTAD, as a partner of the Ministry of Health, to create an information system to manage list recovery programs. We describe the early status and work, when data harvesting was the core challenge, up to the current automated situation. This paper bridges the PERLE, PPMA, PECLEC and SIGIC programmes, and concludes with lessons learned and suggestions for evolution of the process.
