Abstract
A Shopping Centre (SC) is a "shop open to the public", installed in a building, which include parking, several shops, technical, management, and shopping arcade. In the current economic climate, the maintenance of complex buildings, like shopping centres, is performed under a tight budget context, and is essentially based on systems conditions. A maintenance model, to be effective, requires that maintenance service performance, covering the different building systems and components, is measured. This paper presents a methodology to measure the performance of SCs maintenance management through two major performance indicators: the Building Performance Indicator (BPI); and the Maintenance Efficiency Indicator (MEI). The results of its implementation to seven shopping centres, in Portugal, show that the general condition of the facilities is good (overall BPI= 86,45%) but the low MEI values (<0,37) indicates that insufficient resources are allocated to maintenance activities and this can compromise the future condition of the facilities.

Abstract
Effective and efficient implementation of intelligent and/or recently emerged networked manufacturing systems require an enterprise level integration. The networked manufacturing offers several advantages in the current competitive atmosphere by way to reduce, by shortening manufacturing cycle time and maintaining the production flexibility thereby achieving several feasible process plans. The first step in this direction is to integrate manufacturing functions such as process planning and scheduling for multi jobs in a network based manufacturing system. It is difficult to determine a proper plan that meets conflicting objectives simultaneously. This paper describes a mobile-agent based negotiation approach to integrate manufacturing functions in a distributed manner; and its fundamental framework and functions are presented. Moreover, ontology has been constructed by using the Protege software which possesses the flexibility to convert knowledge into Extensible Markup Language (XML) schema of Web Ontology Language (OWL) documents. The generated XML schemas have been used to transfer information throughout the manufacturing network for the intelligent interoperable integration of product data models and manufacturing resources. To validate the feasibility of the proposed approach, an illustrative example along with varied production environments that includes production demand fluctuations is presented and compared the proposed approach performance and its effectiveness with evolutionary algorithm based Hybrid Dynamic-DNA (HD-DNA) algorithm. The results show that the proposed scheme is very effective and reasonably acceptable for integration of manufacturing functions.

Abstract
The present paper presents the conceptual mechanical design of a Standing Frame for children with mental deficiency. Those children deal with great difficulties in maintaining a correct biped posture, hindering certain system organs to work in its fullness. Thus, the target goal of this project is to provide a correct biped posture to the child with mental deficiency. To achieve this goal there were defined the main goals that the standing frame should fulfil: safety, comfort, adaptability, attractiveness and accessibility. After the definition of certain functions and specifications the final solution comes up. For this solution it was selected metallic materials (structure of the Standing Frame) and polymeric materials (supports). It was also needed to select a lifting system, to lift the child from the seat to the biped position. The best solution found was an hydraulic, linear and single acting actuator. In order to ecologically guide the project it was chosen materials with fabrication and recycling processes that allow the final solution to be the most ecologic as possible. (C) 2018 The Authors. Abstract
Nowadays, companies are facing a constant need to develop and increase coordination between operational functions to respond rapidly and accurately to customer requests. Linked with this need, an increasing number of practitioners are resorting to an established and integrated business management methodology, the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP). The concept of S&OP has gained increased recognition over the years by several authors and companies. This project describes the S&OP implementation in Sogrape Vinhos (wines) S.A., a Portuguese wine producer and distributer. The company was confronted with low accuracy in the establishing the forecast demand plans, especially on a long-term horizon. In order to increase the demand plans accuracy, the company started a S&OP implementation program. This paper describes the company's current planning process, explains the S&OP's implementation model presenting the selected parameters adequate to the company's context, and finally, evaluate the expected outcomes of this project. Preliminary results from the S&OP implementation project at Sogrape indicate significant savings at the operational level and greater effectiveness in developing the company's demand plans. Abstract
This research evaluates IRCA registered auditors' perspectives of the added value of ISO 9001:2015 to the organizations that adopt it and are certified accordingly, bringing P a more independent perspective than previous studies based on quality managers or consultants' views. Supported by a worldwide survey among IRCA registered auditors and the adoption of a Covariance based- Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM) approach the results point out that the auditors' judgment regarding the ISO 9001:2015 value is influenced by their perceptions (regarding the document) and experience (auditing). The research results highlight the importance of selecting auditors with the appropriate ISO 9001:2015 knowledge and experience to assess ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMSs) within the certification process, therefore, contributing to the business and processes performance improvement and sustainable outcomes.
