An INESC TEC researcher presented the Institute’s work on ransomware analysis and protection to the cybersecurity community during the 12th meeting of OWASP Porto, the regional chapter of the Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP) – an international organisation dedicated to improving application security through knowledge sharing, training and the development of best practices.

From programming to quantum computing: young students explore computer science at INESC TEC

Programming, Artificial Intelligence, bioinformatics, the Internet of Things (IoT), supercomputing and quantum computing were among the topics explored by 25 high school students who took part in Computação sem Fronteiras, an action held as part of the University of Minho’s Verão no Campus programme. Organised by INESC TEC’s hub at the University of Minho, the initiative introduced participants to different areas of computing through workshops, practical challenges and hands-on activities.
