Bold(H)er - International Day of Women and Girls in Science

To celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, marked annually on February 11th, the Communication Service (SCOM) is organizing an event – Bold(h)er -, which aims, not only, to celebrate the date, as well as ending the Bold series, launched between February and March 2023.

This series, made up of four conversations between eight INESC TEC collaborators (two for each of the conversations), aimed to promote discussion around four main themes: Leadership, Balance between family and professional life, Education and Future.

This year, we intend to conclude this series and, therefore, a challenge was launched to the protagonists: to carry out a small five-minute intervention – in pitch format – on the topic they addressed in their respective conversation. The idea is for them to reflect on each of the themes, the topics covered during the conversation and what, after 12 months, has changed – or not. The four conversations are available here.

The Bold(h)er event will take place on February 9th, in person, between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm, in auditorium A of INESC TEC. Participation is open, but subject to registration and auditorium occupancy limit (maximum 60 participants). The session will be recorded in full and edited, to be made available on the YouTube channel and shared on other INESC TEC social networks, on February 11th.
