FIC.A - International Science Festival

The FIC.A - International Science Festival will take place from October 12 to 17, 2021, at the Palace and Gardens of Marquês de Pombal, in Oeiras. This is the first edition of an event that was born within the science and technology developed in Portugal and is projected to the world in a groundbreaking way, with a strong commitment to education, culture, and art.

FIC.A appears at a particular moment, in which scientific knowledge became part of everyday life and the advancement of science stood out in a unique way in history.

The FIC.A program presents various areas of science, technology, culture, and art, from health and medicine, through the environment, archeology, to astronomy and artificial intelligence, or even areas such as sports and gastronomy. The schedule includes activities for audiences of all ages and is free of charge.

INESC TEC is associated with the initiative and will participate through a workshop entitled “Text2Story – extracting narratives from texts” and a round table on the theme “Cryptocurrencies: digital currencies that are here to stay”.
