About
Jorge Barbosa Pereira is a young STEM professional, holding a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2020), a Master's degree in Medical Physics (2023), and a Postgraduate degree in Computational Statistical Modeling (2024) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). Currently, he is passionate about data science and computing, pursuing a second Master's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Mining and Data Processing.
After his graduation, he has involved in research initiation projects at the Center of Advanced Computing Systems (CRACS) and the Center of Applied Photonics (CAP) at INESC TEC. In 2021, he began his professional career as a medical physicist and researcher in the Medical Physics, Radiobiology, and Radiation Protection Group at the Research Center of IPO Porto, where he worked until 2024.
Currently, he is part of the Center of Power and Energy Systems (CPES) as a researcher, focusing on the area of Energy Management in Buildings.
