Abstract
Embracing agility brings change to companies and everyone involved, so people have a fundamental role in project development. It is essential that teams have a good communication, motivation and concern about quality and client satisfaction, Agile Manufacturing is using Agile Project Management to provide the right team to performance difficult tasks and achieve goals. This paper proposes a team that deals with Agile Project Management, named as AGILE team, composed by a product owner, a team leader and team members, and a communication workflow proposal concerning the conjunction of 3 momentums (requirements analyze, planning and design) along the Agile Project Management. The proposed model is being implemented in a lightening manufacturing company in a very early stage. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V. Abstract
Many of the developments started by social initiatives (bottom-up), others are induced by policies (top-down) or even by both (social and political). Open Design is mainly characterized as a movement generated by and for the community but could also be nourished by private/associative initiatives with the community support, and could be encourage by public entities that perceives Open Design as a flourish method for innovation and leading for a real democratization of the manufacturing. In this paper, three CAD software based on Open Design (rattleCAD, BRL CAD and FreeCAD) are evaluated, according to the number of downloads made in SourceFourge, in order to better understand the usage behavior of these CAD systems. The main findings suggest instability in the short range and stability in the medium and long range, indicating that the communities are active and providing attractive solutions. Abstract
Open Design (OD) is characterized as fast-growing community-based generative process, that is supported in a digital repository or platform, in order to develop a specific topic area or field. Many examples of OD are available nowadays, from software (probably the most common) to hardware, and from science and technology to business. One of the most known platforms of OD is an open editable content encyclopedia, the Wikipedia. Trough the involvement of volunteers (community that do not receive any payment for the work) in writing articles in a collaborative way was possible to develop, most probably, the extensive multi-language encyclopedia in the World started from scratch within 18 years. Based on analysis made from available Wikipedia statistical data, it is possible to conclude that from a stochastic behaviour the variables reached a transition phase in which a presence of a hysteresis between all variables were reached in between 60 to 80 months, and the editors (agents of the community) are an important asset for the system "transformation". Abstract
Raw materials are very important for the development of economies and also to assure quality of life. Due to our production and consumption patterns new challenges emerged. The consumption of raw materials is very high, what raises important issues such as the depletion of resources, instability of prices and markets, risk of rupture of supply and other environmental, economic and social impacts. The European Union as many other regions of the world are implementing some strategies to overcome this problem, being the most recent the circular economy package, which intends to maintain materials as long as possible in the economic cycle, avoiding the use of new resources. There is a list of critical raw materials for EU and in this work the methodology of pairwise comparison was applied to a set of those raw materials for determining the importance of each taking in consideration several factors, such import reliance, end of life, economic importance, etc. The main goal was to develop a method based on pairwise comparison in a case of European Union to define priorities for acting, enhancing the achievement of sustainable solutions. It was also performed a sensitivity analysis. It was possible to conclude that the top position for the majority of the several raw materials does not change with the weights. Tantalum, Tungsten, Baryte and Antimony are always in the top positions. (C) 2019 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Abstract
Manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are drivers for economic and social development. Their importance and competitive challenges are increasing interest and attention on private and public sectors due to hyper-competition environment. In order to establish an environment that, not only, addresses hyper-competition but also sustainability, a Meta-Organization is proposed to support advanced manufacturing business models, namely, Virtual and Ubiquitous Enterprises. This Meta-Organization is organizational platform supported by information and communication technologies (ICT), such as Web 3.0. The paper introduces a framework to approach Ubiquitous Virtual Enterprises using Meta-Organization and Manufacturing Web 3.0, adopted by manufacturing SMEs. This paper is organized in six chapters. The chapter 1 presents the environment context that manufacturing SMEs faces and introduces the framework used in the paper. In chapter 2, a review addressing Meta-Organization in context of Ubiquitous Virtual Enterprises is presented. Chapter 3 covers the topic of Meta-Organizations members, specifically manufacturing SMEs. In chapter 4, to meet the technological platform Manufacturing Web 3.0 some Web 3.0 technologies are presented. Chapter 5 presents shortly the overall framework. Finally, chapter 6 draws conclusions. Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a cloudlet architecture for dashboard in Cloud and Ubiquitous Manufacturing. In practice means that, with Cloud Computing adoption, Manufacturing requires management applications where ubiquity and effectiveness are enabled. If ubiquity and resources scalability, availability and capacity can be well supported by cloud, pragmatics instruments are required to support effectiveness. The architecture here presented shows the integration of enriched existing (cloud) services, as instances of resources, with layers of new services towards direct and synchronous communication between users. These Rich Internet Application (RIA) components, here named cloudlets, integration, follow dashboards organization patterns and will be supported by emergent web3.0 interaction technologies. In fact, the paper proposes a new Presentation Layer to be used in UMS and (that may be used) in any multi-layer cloud-based web application. (C) 2013 Authors. Published by Elsevier B. V.
