Abstract
The modem societies claim on being safer, more sustainable and with more inclusive mobility policies, towards assuring the world sustainable standards. One of the key future mobility factors is focused on the usage of the soft modes, emphasizing the use of bicycles. This mean of transport needs to be permanently implemented worldwide, supported by policies that can unify user's, planners, public and private companies, academics and politicians. Therefore, it is crucial to understanding the user's motivations to adopt the bicycle as a mean of transport instead of the motorized vehicle solutions. With the aim of understanding the user's characteristics, needs and expectations regarding the use of bicycle, as well as to point out innovative initiatives and the role of bicycles in cities' planning, some European examples were analyzed and described as state-of-the-art practices. Such examples allow us to consider and propose a set of adjustments and future recommendations to strengthen the bicycle option as an effective mass mobility mean.

Abstract
In this paper, we studied 2017' indexes related to people life conditions: happiness, prosperity, sustainable mobility, quality of life. Some quality of life sub-indexes, regarding mobility, traffic commute time and the pollution, were also considered. A two variable representation was displayed through a simple regression, in order to measure the strength level of the relations between the variables and their influence towards the adoption of sustainable mobility practices. It was possible to conclude that the strongest correlations found were between the happiness and the prosperity indexes; the traffic commute time and the quality of life indexes, by cities; and the pollution and the quality of life indexes, by cities, which aim to explain sustainable mobility behaviors and its impact in the improvement of the population well-being and satisfaction. The information compiled in this study might be relevant to a large group of stakeholders and decision-makers, focused on the definition of policies to increase the citizens' quality of life. This study might be, also useful for increasing the degree of awareness and involvement of the population through the adoption of mobility solutions that will be critical to creating a sustainable way of life in the future.

Abstract
The concept of urban mobility development needs to be somehow reconsidered towards planning and implementing transports in a more sustainable, inclusive and integrated manner. It urges to monitor and evaluate the sustainable development of the cities based on a triple bottom line dimension - economic, social and environmental; as well as on the main indicators, including the ones regarding the cities context and particularities. Hence, the definition of sustainability indicators and the associated index is a major tool towards gaining higher visibility of the current state of mobility and to establish goals and milestones to attain the desired sustainability. According to the Viana do Castelo case study, a description of the city and of the existents transports is presented, and Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan guidelines are also proposed. In this paper, a set of sustainability indicators are defined with balanced distribution by the sustainability dimensions, according to the benchmarking analysis and the Viana do Castelo' characteristics - including the ones regarding the historic city center. These sustainability indicators enable the development of an evolutive sustainable profile, provide knowledge to the redesign of sustainable urban policies in the Viana do Castelo city and in the Alto Minho Region context.

Abstract
A new integrated approach is required for planning and rethinking mobility issues in European Regions, towards allowing them to become better prepared into near future challenges. In this paper, a set of recommendations for future mobility planning in the Alto Minho Region, in Northern Portugal, will be proposed taking into consideration social inclusion and environmental concerns into accessibility planning. The conducted research shows that despite different framework methods and approaches, similar trends emerge in future mobility, reinforcing that cooperative actions to share information and encourage dialogue between all stakeholders (population, politicians and operators) in long term plans is essential. Based on Gini-coefficients assessment and its resulting spider diagrams, a population profile is created aiming to explore the impacts in future mobility solutions. As the result of this approach, this paper presents some key recommendations for future mobility planning, based on an integrated delivery of policies for social and environmental equity within the transportation sector.

Abstract
a Rural areas present vicissitudes and specific characteristics that need to be properly addressed towards guarantying and defining a sustainable and adjusted mobility to its population demand. The Mobility as a Service (MaaS) - a key component of any future mobility system -will play an important role in enhancing social inclusion in rural areas. Creating the opportunity to integrate various transport modes and functionalities, this system will allow the access to the information, in a personalized way. As pointed in the pilot cases presented, using a case studies methodology approach, the MaaS can integrate various transport modes, allowing the rural population to increase their quality of life. This survey also contributes to leverage the implementation of a MaaS pilot in the Alto Minho Region (within the scope of the Smob Project).

Abstract
The diffusion of new digital technologies renders digital transformation relevant to nearly every economic activity sector, including in the agriculture sector. Farming and how farmers work is changing, the use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) together with the increased use of the Internet of Things (IoT) is developing a concept that is called Smart Farming. Smart Farming benefits are tremendous, smart data can be used for seed traits and to treat soil conditions, the use of new technologies can offer unprecedented conveniences and improve the management and quality of agriculture farming. The use of new information systems and services will be more and more used to sustain and improve operations, competitiveness, and profitability in the agriculture sector. However, the massive use of technology comes with inherent security risks and vulner-abilities, and the sector finds itself targeted as never before. In this paper, using an empirical methodology, are highlighted some reflections regarding the security challenges that Smart Farming systems face.
