SUSTAINABILITY

Abstract
In order to investigate the factors influencing the sustainable guarantee network and its differences in different spatial and temporal scales, logistic regression algorithm is used to analyze the data of listed companies in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China from 2008 to 2017 (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). The study finds that, overall, companies with better profitability, poor solvency, poor operational capability and higher levels of economic development are more likely to join the guarantee network. On the temporal scale, solvency and regional economic development exert increasing higher impact on the companies' accession to the guarantee network, and operational capacity has increasingly smaller impact. On the spatial scale, the less close link between company executives and companies in the western region suggests higher possibility to join the guarantee network. The predictive accuracy test results of the logistic regression algorithm show that the training model of the western sample enterprises has the highest prediction accuracy when predicting enterprise behavior of joining the guarantee network, while the accuracy is the lowest in the central region. When forecasting enterprises' failure to join the guarantee network, the training model of the central sample enterprise has the highest accuracy, while the accuracy is the lowest in the eastern region. This paper discusses the internal and external factors influencing the guarantee network risk from the perspective of spatial and temporal differences of the guarantee network, and discriminates the prediction accuracy of the training model, which means certain guiding significance for listed company management, bank and government to identify and control the guarantee network risk.

WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics

Abstract
In the present paper we analyzed the behavior of firms in the construction and manufacturing sectors, located in the region of Vale do Sousa, in the north of Portugal. From the literature, even revising some disagreements, it is possible to conclude that planning is crucial for firms' survival and growth. Co-operation is another aspect that the literature presents as an important factor for firms sustainability. It also plays a major role in competition, since firms are adopting coo-petition strategies. By studying a sample of 251 firms, it was possible to realize, that the majority started their business without a formal planning, and they keep going without using it. In cooperation aspects, there is a lack of cooperation. It was possible to verify, that existing cooperation has some evidence but at a vertical level. These vertical relations were also identified in stakeholder's involvement.

JOURNAL OF RISK AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Abstract
This paper aims to identify and analyze project management maturity models in order to identify those best suited to be adopted in construction firms. To do so, models from papers available in academic repositories were analyzed. To be successful, the construction business deeply depends on projects outcomes; thus, the implementation of project management maturity models is important for this sector. A maturity model is a valuable technique to assess project management capabilities within a single part of an organization or to assess an organization as a whole. Its main purpose is to provide a means to create a more organized and predictable way for organizations to achieve their goals, increasing their chances of success regarding the outputs, outcomes, and benefits. In this paper, documentary research was performed to identify available project management maturity models and togather information about their performance. The information gathered was used to find elements to be compared with the identified models. Reviewing the literature, 39 project management maturity models were identified. The authors selected two PMMMs that were well fitted to assess the project management capabilities in construction firms: OPM3 and MMGP Prado.

Managing Generation Z: Motivation, Engagement and Loyalty

Abstract
In the chapter, we can find the recommendation for entrepreneurs. The authors are trying to answer the question: How should employers treat Generation Z employees? A complex analysis of the research carried out by the authors as well as other examples from Europe and other continents have been pointed out. A recommendation for enterprises has been included. © 2023 selection and editorial matter, Joanna Niezurawska, Radoslaw Antoni Kycia and Agnieszka Niemczynowicz; individual chapters, the contributors.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PRODUCTION ECONOMICS AND PROJECT EVALUATION, ICOPEV 2022

Abstract
This paper explores the effects of Industry 5.0 on Sustainable Development. The authors first developed a primer review to introduce the new research agenda of Industry 5.0. Secondly, they performed a state-of-the-art review on the topics of Industry 4.0/Industry 5.0 and Sustainability. The eligible documents have been subjected to a content analysis that identified seven themes. The present research identified a positive relationship between the implementation of Industry 4.0 and sustainable development attainment. This relationship constitutes an opportunity for Industry 5.0 to promote sustainability. Notwithstanding, a series of barriers, drivers and enablers were also identified. Also, this research conclusions are aligned with the explanation presented by the European Commission for the development of the Industry 5.0 concept. However, this will not be enough to shift the paradigm effectively. This paper compiled and analysed the most recent advancements in the new research agenda of Industry4.0/Industry 5.0 dedicated explicitly to sustainability, a topic that requires development in theoretical and empirical research.

ACM International Conference Proceeding Series

Abstract
Based on the perspective of information asymmetry theory and transaction cost theory, this paper discusses the effect of agricultural industrialization organizations on the quality of agricultural products. Through the survey of litchi growers in Guangdong Province and surrounding areas, it designs indicators suitable for measuring litchi quality from the two dimensions of safety and texture, uses factor analysis, correlation analysis, OLS model to test the hypothesis proposed herein. The results show that: the involvement of agricultural industrialization organizations has played an important role in improving litchi quality of growers. Enlightenment: unified management and unified standards through industrial organization forms such as enterprises, cooperatives, and associations are an important way to implement large-scale production of litchi, strengthen respective advantages, share risks, seek mutual benefit and win-win results. Government departments should play a leading and propaganda role, provide financial and technical support, improve the service system for the industrialization of the litchi industry, cultivate leading litchi enterprises, and accelerate the development of professional litchi cooperatives, associations and other intermediary organizations to make them become standardized and competitive main market players. © 2021 ACM.
