Abstract
This paper presents a framework for simulator development for fixed horizon, rolling horizon and real time management models for their modelling and evaluation in ubiquitous production networks under conditions of dynamic environments for economic and environmental sustainability.

Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Systems for Industry 4.0
Abstract
For manufacturing systems, Industry 4.0 (I4.0) is currently considered a big challenge and is closely related to intelligent manufacturing or production, alongside a more or less wide set of technologies, methodologies, frameworks, tools and techniques. I4.0 encompasses a diversity of approaches to enable the progress of production systems, resulting in shortened production times, production efficiencies, product quality, customization and flexibility of performance. Due to the general awareness about the importance of enabling intelligent manufacturing alongside sustainable production, sustainability is gaining renewed importance. Due to the importance of the theme, there is a need for an updated review of the main enabling approaches of I4.0 for sustainable manufacturing systems. For this purpose, a literature review was conducted considering the research question: Is there increased attention being given to sustainability issues nowadays in Industry 4.0? Through this work, it was possible to verify the main I4.0 and sustainability pillars considered in academia, which for I4.0 are the integration of horizontal and vertical systems, with 94% of the relevant articles mentioning this pillar. The additive manufacturing and 3D printing was refered in 56% of the relevant articles, and for sustainability, the economic pillar was mentioned with 95%, being the main one, with a large difference from other factors.

Abstract
This article proposes the use of social representation theory to validate the structural model of structural equation modeling, thereby enhancing the understanding of the research object. To achieve this, it was employed action research to construct, implement, and confirm the practical feasibility of the metho-dological procedures described herein. This was accomplished through their practical application in a case analysis. It was possible to validate the structural model used in structural equation modeling by applying the proposed methodological procedures to a case involving the governance system construct. This validation opens the possibility for future research to use these procedures in conjunction to validate theoretical models and the causal relationships between their constructs. Therefore, the primary theoretical contribution of this paper is the proposition of a research methodology that combines social representation theory with structural equation modeling to validate the structural model. This approach reduces the risk of using the statistical method to confirm or refute a theoretical model whose causal relationships may not represent a reality supported by practice.

Abstract
This paper emphasizes the need to broaden organizational perspectives through Open X, which promotes sharing and collaboration over selfishness and competition, instead of that industrial intellectual protection through patents can divert resources essential for the growth of organizations. Faced with new realities, organizations need different management approaches with the potential to transform the reindustrialization resulting from deindustrialization into a Neoindustrialization 2.0. It does not mean tearing down or creating new boundaries but an open culture where organizational efforts have social relevance. In the face of economic interests, Open X can make organizational outcomes more plentiful and robust. © 2024 Published by Faculty of Engineering.
