Abstract
Since the dawn of human civilization that cooperation among individuals is observed. In the most primitive stage this phenomenon was manifested through hunting groups, progressing to the construction of objects and buildings and in a later phase in the construction of modem society itself. Nowadays with the advent of technology and rise of ICT, collaborative processes across workgroups in organizations have been increasingly supported by this concept. The use of technology for supporting collaborative processes of working groups led to the creation of areas of study as CSCW and Groupware. In the health area, collaborative platforms have been used for supporting medical distance learning, social networks for collaboration, patient monitoring, discussion forums and sharing of medical media content. This paper has the goal of analyzing teclmological advances and the application of collaborative platforms in the health area, through an exploratory work of literature and application analysis and discussion.

TRENDS AND APPLICATIONS IN SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
Abstract
The continuous process industry is currently facing a serious need for systems that allow to monitor and manage their factories. Despite the existing industrial visualization screens provide for a partial answer to the identified issue, there is a set of new technologies who might help on developing the existing industrial visualization systems and provide and improved aid to the human controllers who monitor and manage the production processes. The presented paper aims at not only delivering a serious and focused characterization on the existing industry visualization screens, but above all, it intends to present several opportunities, challenges and new perspectives for the use of innovative visualization technologies (such as 2.5D/3D screens, augmented and virtual reality) in those industries whose production process assumes itself as continuous. This contribute, from our perspective will serve as a basis for further research on the field.

Abstract
Prior to having available the High Dynamic Range (HDR) techniques, certain levels of luminance could only by captured by the human eye. Currently, HDR technology overcomes the limitations of conventional imaging technology (also referred as Low Dynamic Range or LDR) and allows the capture and delivery of contents that can match the dynamic range of the real world. However, the state of the art of HDR video focus mainly on conventional sized displays typical of TVs or PCs. As the usage of mobile devices for multimedia consumption is increasing considerably, there is a need for studying the impact of the viewing of HDR video on such devices. This will allow to take full advantage of HDR technology, creating a set of opportunities for the digital business as it allows, among others, the presentation of products in a much more efficient and captivating way. On this paper it is presented a study that evaluates the impact of the HDR video delivery on mobile devices and compares it with the impact of Low Dynamic Range (LDR) content. Results show that the delivery of HDR video on mobiles is possible without requiring much more resources when comparing the delivery of LDR video.

Abstract
The current urge on using Internet for both social and professional tasks, alongside with the existence of over 80 million European citizens with some sort of disability as led to the need for an accessible Web [1]. Given, the also increasing thrive for searching the web for health related information and the assumption of heath care institutions as the creators of this type of information, a research study was developed in order to evaluate the accessibility levels of the Iberian health care institutions. From this study, that used ACESSWEB as the evaluation platform, it was possible to perceive that none of the evaluated websites was WCAG 2.0 compliant and that, despite the poor results, Spanish websites presented more accessibility concerns than the Portuguese. Hence, the situation is critical and a significant effort must be done in order to allow citizens with disabilities to have access to the much needed health related information.

COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Abstract
E-commerce notably increases the reach of enterprises, bringing a firm's products and services into the international arena. In times of shrinking domestic markets, due to national crises, becoming available in global markets is essential for survival and growth. We have thus held three focus group interactions to produce a set of strategic recommendations with regards to how to improve e-Commerce adoption levels in Iberian enterprises, essential in times of local hardship and market contraction. Suggestions include creating actions to influence governments to re-evaluate the legislation that regulates e-Commerce, making it more transparent; encouraging venture capitalists, banks and business angels to finance such e-Commerce endeavors; encouraging higher education institutions (HEI) to partner with Iberian enterprises to ensure knowledge transfer in both directions; creating, with HEI and training organizations, a set of new training courses directed at Iberian enterprises and focusing on concepts such as Web 2.0 capabilities and a coherent online organizational identity. Fundamental is the perspective that e-Commerce is a strategic issue, warranting funds and qualified personnel, at different levels in the hierarchy, for adequate strategic e intent, e-vision, and e-mission formulation, followed by effective e-process implementation.

Abstract
Focus group interactions led to a set of strategic recommendations with regards to how to improve e-Commerce adoption levels in Iberian enterprises, essential in times of crises. Suggestions include: (1) Create actions to influence the governments of the Iberian Peninsula to re-evaluate the legislation that regulates e-Commerce; (2) Encourage venture capitalists, banks and business angels to create financing lines with better access; (3) Encourage European institutions of higher education to create partnerships with Iberian enterprises in a way that the technical know-how in these enterprises could be mixed with the scientific knowledge of those institutions; (4) Create, alongside with training organizations and universities, a set of new training courses directed at Iberian enterprises focusing on concepts such as Web 2.0 capabilities and the maintaining of a coherent online organizational identity. Increases in e-Commerce transactions may bring changes in mentality and greater prosperity to nations such as Portugal and Spain.
