Work description
Support for the development of R&D projects and the enhancement of knowledge, support for the preparation of R&D project applications, scientific production aimed at international journals and conferences, intervention in the scientific and professional communities, as well as participation in scientific and technological dissemination initiatives, particularly in the area of decarbonisation of the industrial sector, in particular the role of the integration of biofuels and biogas. The duties also include: (1) Characterising bioenergy production chains, (2) Studying the cost-benefit of integrating bioenergy as an alternative for decarbonising industry, (3) To study the impact of bioenergy in terms of GHG emissions and air pollution, (4) Participating in project meetings related to the decarbonisation of industry, dissemination events and training actions.
Academic Qualifications
Master in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or a related scientific area and holders of a scientific and professional curriculum showing a relevant profile for the activity to be developed can apply for the tender.
Minimum profile required
Track record in implementing technological solutions based on plant sources, with a preference for applications in the bioenergy field and familiarity with the industrial sector, particularly with production processes. Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a team; Excellent project management skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Familiarity with bioenergy (biofuels and biogases) production processes is a plus.
Preference factors
Research experience in the field of biotechnology, bioenergy, or similar; Prior experience managing projects; Experience with proposal writing and securing funding for projects; Good track record of published research in the specified areas of the position.
