Work description
- review of the state of the art and identification of the main research gaps in the context of port logistics and operations management in cargo consolidation/deconsolidation logistics hubs; - detailed characterisation of the problem to be addressed; - design and development of simulation strategies to evaluate scenarios in uncertain environments, promoting efficient decision support in resource and capacity management; - evaluation of the approach developed and analysis of results (KPIs); - writing the master's thesis; - writing the scholarship activity report.
Academic Qualifications
- Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, branch of Production Management;
Minimum profile required
- Master's student in Mechanical Engineering, Production Management branch;- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an average of more than 15 points.
Preference factors
- knowledge of operational research and operations management; - experience in optimisation and programming in Python, Java or similar; - strong teamwork skills; - knowledge of English and Portuguese.
