Work description

Study and analysis of the energy profile of Deucalion's different processor architectures; Assessment of the carbon footprint of various software packages in such architectures; Assessment of the potential of emergent trends in HPC, such as resource disaggregation, to improve supercomputers' performance and energy efficiency; Report write-up.

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor's and Master student in computer engineering or a related field.

Minimum profile required

Knowledge of C/C++ with OpenMP, MPI, CUDA;Knowledge of Python;Knowledge of BASH Script;User-level knowledge of SLURM.

Preference factors

Experience with parallel programming models and technologies; Knowledge of tools for code profiling; Experience in parallel multi-node programming of heterogeneous servers.
