Electrical engineering

Work description

1. Study and propose architectures for CMOS integrated circuits (in SOI or others) that enable digital control and driving of external elements to the chip, particularly unit-cell elements of a reconfigurable intelligent surface, considering the need for scalability and operation frequency up to 170 GHz. 2. Development of CMOS integrated circuit prototypes according to the most promising solutions. 3. Collaborate in the development of antenna prototypes that integrate the developed circuits. 4. Collaborate in the submission of scientific articles. 5. Write the scholarship activity report.

Academic Qualifications

MSc in Electrical Engineering, or similar.

Minimum profile required

Previous experience in CMOS circuit design, using advanced tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso), from simulation to layout, as well as knowledge of high-frequency signal propagation and characteristics of distributed elements, such as S-parameters and impedance matching.Experience in prototyping and experimental characterization of electronic circuits.

Preference factors

Knowledge of model parameters and PDK (process design kit) configuration to assess the applicability of the PDKs used to the project requirements.

Application Period
