Energy System Digitalization
[Closed]
Work description
Leading the implementation of R&D projects in the digitalisation of energy systems, including developing digital twins, ontologies and semantic interoperability in the context of energy transition and digitalisation of ports, buildings and local energy systems (e.g. energy communities). In particular: Lead the coordination and implementation of R&D projects aimed at digitalising energy systems, focusing on semantic interoperability to ensure cohesive communication between diverse digital platforms; Spearhead the strategic development and deployment of digital twin technologies, enhancing their functionality within energy management systems in several domains (i.e., ports, buildings, and energy communities); Develop and refine architectures and data models to advance semantic interoperability, utilising open and standardised models for accurate and efficient semantic representation; Oversee the creation of information integrators and data connectors as core components of the interoperability framework, facilitating robust data exchange across various systems. Manage and mentor teams, driving scientific output targeted at prominent international journals and conferences; Engage and lead in professional and scientific communities, championing initiatives in technological dissemination; Prepare and manage comprehensive R&D project applications to secure national and international funding, aligned with the scientific and innovation strategy of the centre.
