Work description
The use of mobile robots with forks to automate palletizing operations in internal logistics requires that these vehicles are capable of locating exactly where to insert the forks to move the loaded pallets. It is essential to ensure that pallets are in good condition before handling, as otherwise there is a risk of damage to the load or even falling during transport. In this way, the integrity of the cargo is preserved, ensuring a safer and more efficient logistics process. The work plan of this scholarship is governed by the following points: 1. Comparison of two or three cameras for pallet detection (Sick, IFM, RealSense); 2. Annotation of datasets for training neural networks; 3. Training of neural networks; 4. Integration of the trained model into a pipeline for subsequent estimation of the pallet position.
