Work description
Defining and writing guidelines for the annotation of city council meetings and their respective summaries and simplifications, in collaboration with the computational linguistics team; Validate the quality of the summaries and simplifications produced by the computational linguistics team; Verify the results of the LLM models developed by the computer science team for tasks such as event identification, position detection, simplification and summarization of text in European Portuguese; Collaborate with the computational linguistics and computer science team to assess the impact of the prototype for converting free-text data into structured data; Collaborating on the publication of scientific articles; Actively participate in project meetings; Participate in the project’s dissemination activities.
Academic Qualifications
Degree in Political Science and International Relations
Minimum profile required
In-depth knowledge of the Portuguese political-party system;Proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written), in the European variant, at level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, certified with the respective diploma, or as a mother tongue, given that this is a project that aims to develop models of AI in Portuguese language, European variant;Fluent in English, spoken and written;Communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team;Availability to participate in meetings with project partners;Able to start the scholarship immediately after selection.
