Work description
The work to be carried out by the researcher falls within European project CRETE VALLEY, consisting on the development of advanced flexibility modeling functionalities that can empower smart-grid operators to better manage their grid by analyzing different scenarios based on load and generation, demand response, storage, electric vehicles, etc., and incorporating the different types of energy carriers, such as electricity, heat, and fuels including gases, providing real-time support for the decision process.

Minimum profile required
- Experience in electrical power systems analysis.- Programming skills in MATLAB/Python and C++.- Use and parameterization of learning algorithms based on historical data (e.g. Artificial Neural Networks).- Use and parameterization of heuristics and metaheuristics.- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Preference factors
- Experience in smart-grids modeling and optimization. - Fluency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
