[Open soon]
Work description
Monitoring of biomedical signals has been growing exponentially with the introduction of new wearables in the market. Their analysis and understanding is of utmost importance to provide objective and explainable information to their users and often even to the clinicians involved. This grant aims to work with new wearable devices developed by C-BER to obtain and process biomedical signals and apply processing and classification techniques according to defined scenarios.
Academic Qualifications
Student in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar areas
Minimum profile required
Extensive knowledge of biomedical signal and image processing methods. Some knowledge of machine learning techniques and advanced statistics. Prior familiarity with the healthcare sector and its challenges.
Preference factors
Previous development of signal processing algorithms in the health area. Willingness to continue the work on a master's thesis work.
