Work description
The Biomedical Engineering Research Center (C-BER) of INESC TEC has been developing new signal and image processing methods to support the diagnosis and follow-up of neurological diseases, namely Parkinson's disease and Epilepsy. This scholarship aims to include the candidate in a working team in this area in order to actively contribute to the research of new signal and image processing algorithms in neuroengineering.
Academic Qualifications
Student in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar areas
Minimum profile required
Extensive knowledge of biomedical signal and image processing methods. Some knowledge of machine learning techniques and advanced statistics. Prior familiarity with the neuroengineering sector and its challenges.
Preference factors
Previous development of signal processing algorithms in the health area. Willingness to continue the work on a master's thesis work.
