Work description

1. Survey of the state of the art in SONAR and RADAR data processing, including pre-processing, detection and extraction of relevant features 2. Development of algorithms and implementation in computing systems with limited resources 3. Evaluate the potential of machine learning algorithms in detection and extraction of features, as well as in classification. 4. Implementation of software layers for acquisition and processing of SONAR and RADAR data. 5. Design and execute experimental tests for data collection and real-time processing. 6. Evaluate performance using experimental data 7. Produce scientific reports and publications.

Academic Qualifications

MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering

Minimum profile required

- Master's degree average equal to or higher than 16.- Previous participation in research projects, proven.- MSc dissertation thesis topic in robotics.- 4 or more scientific publications relevant to the research topic.

Preference factors

- programming experience in C++, Matlab; - demonstrated experience in SONAR or RADAR data processing; - experience in field testing - international research experience
